Michael Morpurgo will briefly have two adaptations of his gritty children's novels playing in the West End: alongside 'War Horse', Scamp Theatre's adaptation of 'Private Peaceful' will be playing at the Haymarket for two weeks while 'One Man, Two Guvnors' takes a break. Directed and adapted by Simon Reade, 'Private Peaceful' follows the last night in the life of a young First World War private, thinking back upon his happy Devon childhood as he awaits execution for cowardice. Ages 8+.
