Spring has finally sprung, which means the coronation of King Charles III is fast approaching. Yes folks, May 6-8 is the coronation weekend, and not only do we get a lovely looong bank holiday, but there are lots of things going on in London to celebrate – result!

The only problem is choosing what to do, so let’s make it easy for you. Head to Oxford Street where you can ‘Get Your Royal On’ and enjoy fabulous, exclusive experiences and offers at every turn.

Making it even more straightforward Oxford Street have launched the A-Z of Oxford Street Royalty Map, showcasing what’s on and highlighting the very best that London’s most iconic shopping street has to offer across the coronation weekend (clue: it’s definitely much more than shopping). 1. Shopping

With more than 90 flagship stores on Oxford Street, you are always spoilt for choice, but on May 6, iconic streetwear brand Superdry will be dishing out complimentary drinks and doughnuts at its flagship store. Plus, if you spend over £75, you get a free vintage T-shirt (just don’t get jam on it!). Then, going out-out fashion fave River Island is hosting a competition for ten winners to bag a bank holiday party worth £10k. You can pick out your party outfit while you’re there.

2. Food and drink

Selfridges has all kinds of coronation-themed celebrations planned: but alongside the music, gift ideas and essential components for the most stylish picnic or coronation party spread, the famous department store really knows how to do afternoon tea. Head to Dolly’s Café for the silver-served Champagne afternoon tea. As you’d expect, there are all the sweet and savoury favourites, but with a coronation twist. Even better, each table will receive a commemorative HM coronation edible plate, with a crispy gingerbread base, passionfruit caramel and dark chocolate ganache.

If you are more of a dim sum or taco fan, then street food favourites at Market Halls will be bringing party vibes with a dedicated event on May 6. Promising dishes fit for a king, unlimited Tanqueray G&Ts and live music, it’s the place to toast the coronation.

Strike a pose! Make sure you can capture the day: because Oxford Street = Instagrammers’ heaven, with Union Jack flags festooning the street and pop-up artworks making the perfect backdrop for a photo op. Even bus shelters don’t escape the regal treatment as some get their own crowns (families with kids who want to channel their majestic side can head to John Lewis for its own crown-making activity).

With all the selfies, it might be time to get ready for that close-up, so get booking: a trip to Dyson’s Beauty Lab is in order. Polish up your act with a Dyson airwrap hair-styling session, complete with a complimentary glass of fizz.

There you have it, everything you need to celebrate the coronation in style and make the most of the bank holiday weekend, whether you’re with the fam or your crew.
