Time Out says

These free training sessions take place every Wednesday. If you haven't heard of Korfball before then you're not alone, but we’ve had a google and it sounds like great fun. As far as we can make out it’s a mix of netball, quidditch and a year eight disco where mysterious magnetic forces separate boys and girls. Teams of eight (four women and four men) compete against eachother to throw a ball through the other team's korf (Dutch for basket; it looks like a giant hula-hoop) but players are only allowed to mark opposing team members of the same sex. Other basic rules are: no running with the ball, no handing the ball over (you've got to chuck it) and no kicking or punching the ball either. These sessions consist of warm ups, shooting, passing, tactical drills and a few friendly games. The sessions will continue in September but will move inside. Kit-wise, wear normal gym stuff you're happy to run about it and bring a bottle of water. All levels of fitness and experience are welcome.
