Pattern to Print

An exhibition about the history of the silk industry in Crayford – in particular David Evans & Co Ltd company – spanning 158 years. Original equipment from the old Evans & Co factory will be on display so visitors can discover how silk used to be extracted and processed and how prints were made on fabric, as well as silk pieces, including an outfit from Elton John. There will also be a viewing room screening footage from the factory.
