Time Out says

Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral is expected to take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday September 19. Initial plans for the event suggest that a military parade will process through the streets on the day.

The Queen’s coffin is due to process on a gun carriage to the abbey, pulled by naval ratings – sailors – using ropes rather than horses. Senior members of the family are expected to follow behind, as they did for the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales and the Duke of Edinburgh.

The military will line the streets and also join the procession. The route being used is very similar to that for the Queen Mother in 2002. There were more than 1,600 people involved in that parade including military marching bands.

The nearest tube stations will be Hyde Park Corner, St. James’s Park, Charing Cross and Green Park, though there will no doubt be travel restrictions and selective closures in place.
