This ongoing series explores visual culture in the Middle East and North Africa, one city at a time. Stop three focuses on new art in Egypt's second city. It includes an exhibition by Alexandria-born Wael Shawky, the Delfina Foundation's resident artist, in collaboration with the Serpentine Gallery. His video pieces 'Larvae Channel' (2008) and 'Larvae Channel 2' (2009), shown together for the first time, are concerned with the environment, religious conflict and history. Part of the Shubbak festival of contemporary Arab culture; for full details see
