You can get just that at The House of Peroni Residency, a six-week showcase of all that’s best and most delicious about Italy, at Proud East in Haggerston from Thursday May 19 to Friday July 1. The theme for 2016 is ‘For the Love of Italy’ (‘Amare L’Italia’) and we’ve got a feeling you might walk out of there to find yourself coming over all romantic.
With the entire multi-room environment designed by Master of Style Margherita Maccapani Missoni, from the Italian fashion dynasty Missoni, it’s little wonder that it looks so good. She worked with acclaimed London-based artist and set designer Petra Storrs to put together a welcoming space that draws on Italian landscapes, family life, native flowers and even Italian philosophy. Going from room to room is an aesthetic experience in itself.
And then there’s the food and drink – bars, restaurants and private dining you can book, with exquisite Italian cuisine provided by Sartoria’s chef-patron Francesco Mazzei and sublime cocktails from award-winning mixologist Simone Caporale. Buon appetito, and cin cin.
