The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford screening

This top-notch, fairly recent (2007) western has already achieved cult status, and for good reason. Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck wow, along with a supporting cast of Sam Rockwell, Jeremy Renner and Sam Shepard. Pitt opted to star in the film after seeing writer and director Andrew Dominik's gritty debut film, Chopper. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford evokes the best westerns of the '70s, without merely mimicking them. The Egyptian is showing the film on the big screen as part of it's Nick Cave series—he did the music for the film, only upping it's awesome factor.
