The last thing locals look forward to all year is summer. If you live here, you know it’s hot, rainy and humid, and generally miserable from June through August. July’s proverbial rain clouds do have a silver lining: Miami Spa Months. The citywide special, which runs through August, features deeply discounted wellness treatments, from massages and facials to rub-downs with CBD (by far 2019’s hottest spa trend) across top facilities. Prices and offers vary by location (though you’ll find deals as low as $109). And while there are many, many treatments to choose from, we’ve narrowed down our favorites below. This short list of facials, massages and weird scrubs are the kind of things you’ll need to get ready for summer but also keep you sane while braving the heat for the next few months.

If you haven’t had a massage since last year’s spa month:
CBD + Sticks & Stones massage at The Spa at The Miami Beach EDITION

CBD is the hottest thing to hit the wellness circuit this year, and if there was ever an opportunity to experience its soothing effects, it’s during spa months—especially if the last time you showed some love to your muscles was during last year’s special. This one uses hot stones and a bamboo stick to kneed every single kink. The pressure is generally medium but there’s no getting around the (good) pain you’ll feel when the bamboo is rolled over a trouble zone—consider it a reminder to not wait a full 12 months before your next massage. 60 minutes, $139 (Couples options are available)

If you’ve been boozing and your dry, scaly skin shows it:
Hydrating facial by Sothys at âme Spa & Wellness Collective

Drinking wreaks havoc on skin and still, we keep accepting invitations to day drink in Miami. Fortunately, we found the antidote to sipping too much rosé is getting a hydrating facial at âme inside the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry. The treatment consists of a series of masks pumped with hyaluronic acid, which beauty buffs know is the holy grail of skin care and anti-aging. To aid in de-puffing, your specialist places chilled porcelain spoons over tired eyes and uses a jade roller to calm the skin. You’ll leave feeling plump and refreshed, even if you’re slightly hungover from the day’s activities. 60 minutes, $109

If your patchy winter skin isn’t quite swimsuit ready:
Fresh skin ritual at The Spa at The Setai by Thémaé

Maybe you’re a snowbird whose legs have been hiding under jeans all spring. Or perhaps you’re just not much into lotions and body butters and your skin could benefit from some intense moisturizing. Whatever your reason for dry, patchy skin, the brilliance ritual is the thing to restore your skin’s texture and moisture. It’s essentially a full-body exfoliation using an all-natural sugar scrub. Once your therapist has rubbed off all your dead skin, you’ll hop in the shower and return to the bed for a quick massage with hydrating lotion. Scrubs are recommended once a month, which is about the time your skin needs to regenerate new skin. 50 minutes, $109

If you need to chill out before the summer madness:
Aromatic CBD with lavender massage at Lapis Spa

In case you haven’t noticed, we’re really into CBD oils for sore muscles. This particular treatment combines soothing oil with lavender essential oils, which is known for its calming properties, and pairs it with a deep-tissue massage to target the toughest knots (different from a Swedish, the deep-tissue technique focuses on problem areas). The result is a mind-numbing (in a good way), muscle-relaxing experience that sends you home feeling refreshed. This year, in addition to giving guests access to its water circuit and pools, the Fontainebleau throws in specially priced $5 glasses of rosé at La Cote and all-day valet parking on weekdays for just $16. 50 minutes, $139

If you simply can’t go without makeup at the beach:
Oxygen facial at Emena Spa

Get your skin back to its springtime luster with an organic facial from Emena. The Design District spa uses its proprietary line of all-natural skin-care products to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize your skin, getting it to its most radiant. The treatment is finished off with an oxygen infusion tailored to improve skin that’s acne-prone, hyperpigmented, aging and more—plus the stainless steel pen emits a concentrated burst of oxygen to boost circulation. It’s the summer prep your skin needed. 80 minutes, $139
