Guava pancakes, lechón eggs benedict, arroz con pollo—brunch at Coral Gables’ Caja Caliente is a drool-worthy assortment of Cuban-inspired eats that people regularly line-up (safely) to order.

And this weekend, chef/owner Mika León brings her signature bites to the restaurant’s food truck in Wynwood for the very first time. While Wynwood’s Caja Caliente has been dutifully slinging Cuban tacos nonstop for customers before and during these crazy times, it’s never served brunch before.

The menu will feature lemon blueberry poppy-seed pancakes and a variety of León’s signature dishes, which she’s keeping a secret until Saturday morning. She’ll be announcing the full menu on her Instagram page during the next episode of her IG live cooking show, Casa Caliente

Can’t wait until Saturday to find out? We’ve got you covered. León gave us a sneak peek at Caja Caliente’s special Wynwood brunch and here’s what you can expect:  brunch empanadas with eggs and Miami Smokers bacon, breakfast tacos and the aforementioned pancakes. No Caja brunch would be complete without arroz con pollo, made using León’s mother Lupita’s secret family recipe. It sells out quickly at the restaurant’s Coral Gables and it’s sure to run out in Wynwood. Don’t snooze on this one.
