When your Monday through Friday is spent stuck in dreaded i95 traffic, clutching your steering wheel in desperation, the last thing you want to do on a weekend is commute farther than the distance from your couch to the kitchen. We get it, and yet still, there’s so much of South Florida to explore. Have you checked out the stocked mescal bar at the new Coyo Taco in West Palm Beach? Or visited the best restaurants in Fort Lauderdale? If you answered no, this weekend is your shot to turn things around.

The Brightline, the fast train that zips from Miami to Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach in under an hour, is offering riders $10 tickets all weekend. The offer is valid on one-way rides in Smart service from any of its three stations on Saturday, October 20, and Sunday, October 21. And for the Miami Heat fans riding the train to the team’s home opener against the Charlotte Hornets, the MiamiCentral station will be hosting a pep rally tomorrow at 5pm. Burnie and the Heat dancers will be there, and so will a marching band to lead you down to the arena for the game, which is more exciting than anything you’ll see in the carpool lane on Monday.
