Each month, the Market highlights one of our favourite microbreweries at the Beer Bar, and this September, L'Espace Public – Brasseurs de quartier (a culturally-oriented microbrewery from the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighbourhood) is taking centre stage.
What makes L'Espace Public – Brasseurs de quartier so special?
L’Espace Public is much more than just a microbrewery. It’s a meeting place, a vibrant cultural hub, and an anchor in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve community. It’s also the perfect spot to enjoy unique, affordable beer.
The name, L’Espace Public, reflects the intention to create an accessible gathering place, almost like a second living room for the neighbourhood. It’s a simple, warm space tapped into the local community, reminiscent of a village bistro where everyone gathers, or an English pub that welcomes its regulars.
When is the free tasting at Time Out Market Montréal?
Don’t miss the official tasting event on Thursday, September 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Time Out Market Montréal’s Beer Bar (one of the six bars under one roof at Time Out Market Montréal), where you can chat with the brand ambassador during happy hour and enjoy their expertise.
Pair it all with dishes from some of the city’s best chefs and restaurants under one roof.
What beers will be featured at the Market?
L’Espace Public – Brasseurs de quartier will showcase the following three beers:
Olympique - Light Lager
This light lager, brewed with local ingredients, is made for those striving for excellence. Refreshing with cereal notes, it was born here, at the foot of Montreal's Olympic stadium. It’s a beer to enjoy after a victory; a sip that guarantees a spot on the podium. On your marks, get set, sip!
Mad Dog - IPA
Introducing Mad Dog, dedicated to Maurice Vachon, a legend of Quebec wrestling! Hoppy and exotic, it delivers citrus and kiwi aromas with a bitterness that hits like a hammer!
Bière du Terrasse - Sour Strawberry/Guava
A Berliner Rice base (malt, rice, and Kviek yeast) enriched with a generous amount of strawberry and guava puree,
this tart beer was brewed to fully enjoy sunny days. With its silky rice touch, sparkling effervescence, and strawberry and guava aromas, it's pure relaxation under the sun. Settle in and watch the world go by at your own pace.
