Cloakroom, tucked behind a menswear shop in Montreal's Golden Mile—a few steps from Sherbrooke Street West (recently ranked one of the coolest streets in the world)—is home to about 25 seats.
No menu. No theatrics. You sit, you talk, and something exceptional lands in your glass.
At the centre of it all is co-owner and mixologist Andrew Whibley, who will fashion a drink that feels oddly specific while hitting all the right notes.
Expect house-made amari, custom liqueurs, tinctures crafted through low-temperature distillation, and a decade-deep collection of vintage spirits.

The other three bars that made the list are:
Atwater Cocktail Club
A decade in, Montreal's "ACC" (coming in at number 7) is still one of the city’s most reliable nights out—bold cocktails, a serious backbar, and a loyal local crowd.
JJacques
A Saint-Roch, Québec City, speakeasy (ranked number 11) that doubles as an oyster bar and restaurant, with a travel-inspired menu, late-night oysters, and a 175+ bottle wine list.
Bar Numéro
Sitting at a solid number 17, think polished, gastronomic cocktails, tableside Martinis in frozen glasses, and a vibe that balances high-concept with effortless Montreal cool.
