Montreal is spoiled for killer burgers, from Chez Simon Cantine Urbaine’s addictive smashburgers to a classic from Greenspot or a smash patty from Double’s.
Another one of our favourites? The mouthwatering Happy Ending Burger from MangeDansMonHood—ranked number 5 on the global list.

Childhood friends and owners Mitch and Boom took over La Belle Tonkinoise on Jean-Talon, where the casse-croûte MangeDansMonHood is now located. Their burgers are intentionally simple but really, really good. The vibes? An atmosphere worthy of a house party.
The Happy Ending Burger is four house-ground beef patties with crisp, caramelized edges, layered with house sauce, onions, lettuce, tomato and crunchy pickles, all stacked between two soft, pillowy brioche buns.
A cult favourite, this “secret” off-menu order brings together the best of both worlds at a smash-burger spot known for doing just two burgers — and doing them exceptionally well. Intensely juicy and unapologetically messy, it’s the kind of burger that demands a stack of napkins… and guarantees you’ll be back for more.
