First they were spotted at this iconic local restaurant on date night (hint: it's number 12 on our best brunch list).

Then it was announced that Justin Trudeau was moving back to Montreal after buying a home in this neighbourhood — for $4 million dollars.

Now former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and pop star Katy Perry have been spotted dancing their way through a Montreal hardware store, with an unlikely prop in hand: a toilet plunger.

Are Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry still together?

The couple filmed the playful moment over the weekend at a Home Hardware on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, with the video shared on social media by Trudeau’s 18-year-old son, Xavier Trudeau, who performs under the name Xav.

The video was promoting his new song, Downtown.

As Xav’s track plays, Trudeau emerges from behind a corner carrying a bundle of home goods under one arm and waving a plunger in the other.

“In the Home Hardware on Saint-Laurent Street,” Trudeau says as he dances and sings toward the camera. The camera then turns to Perry, who bobs along to the music before the pair dance down the aisle together.
