After having no snow for most of the holidays, Montreal is now preparing to get walloped by a serious storm.

Snow, heavy rains, blustery winds, ice pellets and freezing rain is expected across the province on Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to a special weather statement issued by Environment Canada issued for the Greater Montreal area, heavy significant snowfall, strong winds and blowing snow are expected especially from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
