Sometimes travel planning can get overwhelming. Once you’ve finally locked down when you’re free to go, then comes the question of where. Do you go for some winter sun? A great city break? Maybe a good old-fashioned beach holiday? The choice is overwhelming – but if you fancy trusting fate and handing over the decision to someone else, you could be rewarded with a totally free holiday this spring.

Yep, you read that right – low-cost airline Wizz Air is offering 35 lucky travellers from the UK the chance to jet away to a mystery destination in March, and applications are open.

As part of the airline’s #LetsGetLostWithWIZZ campaign, winners (and their plus ones) will be whisked away on a four-night trip from London Gatwick for a busy weekend of ‘cultural, culinary and adventure activities’.

Given this is a mystery break, we of course don’t know where you’ll be headed. Previous ‘Get Lost’ campaigns have jetted everywhere from Italy and Vienna to Abu Dhabi. But don’t stress about the packing situation – you’ll be notified whether to cram in the sun cream and swimsuits or puffer jackets and boots a few days before departure.

Marion Geoffroy, managing director for UK Wizz Air, said: ‘We love connecting our passengers with new countries, allowing them to meet new people and try experiences. Going on a flight to an unknown destination is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we are pleased to be able to offer this to lucky winners.’

Intrigued? Mystified? Keen to get away? Head to Wizz Air’s Instagram to enter – entries close at midnight on February 22, and winners will be contacted via Instagram. The trip departs on March 7.

Did you see that this European airline is now weighing passengers before flights?
