Billy Childish, "I Am the Billy Childish"

White Columns director Matthew Higgs has put together this show by painter, poet and musician Billy Childish. It juxtaposes some of the artist's recent canvases (depicting volcanoes, pastoral landscapes and scenes from the life of Toni Kurz, the 20th-century German mountaineer who met an untimely end in the Swiss Alps) with ephemera—record albums, books—related to Childish's other activities.
