Katy Grannan, "The Happy Ever After"

The second part of Grannan's two-part show features "Boulevard," a series of color photos of street people taken in Los Angeles and San Francisco between 2008 and 2010. All of them are shown posing against a white stucco wall, lit by a brutally bright California sun that makes their features seem carved out of flesh-colored rock.
