Maria Petschnig, "Erolastika"

Browsing a flea market in New York a couple of years ago, Petschnig came upon photographic erotica, which she subsequently traced back to its original creator in Russia. One of the videos in this show tracks her ensuing relationship with the photographer; all of the work on view, which also includes still images, addresses norms and ideals of female sexuality.
