"Thread Lines"

Promoting drawing may be its operative mission, but the Drawing Center has never shied away from expanding the medium, which it does in this group exhibition, blurring the boundary between craft and art. Various methods associated with the former—embroidery, weaving, sewing and knitting—define the works here by 16 artists. The results could be taken for the visual equivalent of granola, but they're easy on the eyes and in their own way quite gratifying.
