Register at Tompkins Square Park, enter at E 7th St and Ave A. Subway: F to Lower East Side–Second Ave, L to First Ave, 6 to Astor Pl. Think bike messengers are too badass to care about the secular lovefest that is Thanksgiving? Not so. Since 1999, these daredevil deliverymen and women, as well as cyclists from around the city, have raced to buy food at various checkpoints. The grub is then donated to nonprofit organizations that feed the hungry. (Registration begins at 2pm, so be sure to show up early.)
