"The Great Coney Island Spectacularium"

Coney Island's current collection of sideshows, circus types and other curiosities is tame compared to its spectacles from more than 100 years ago. This exhibition brings together images and artifacts from these Victorian-age wonders, such as a town of 300 midgets called Lilliputia, staged tenement fires, and a re-creation of the Boer War starring 600 veterans who fought in the actual battles.
