Why waste a hard-earned Friday on indecision and binge-watching reruns? Slate’s Friday-night happy hours are how you should be welcoming something as sacred as your weekend. Here’s what to expect:

Free games:
Starting at 4pm, Slate’s everpopular arcade and parlor games like Ping-Pong, giant chess and pool are free on a first-come, first-served basis— there’s nothing like giant chess to lighten the mood!

Happy hour drinks:
Selections like $4 beers, $5 mixed drinks and $6 dollar wine will have you saying “TGIF”.

Live DJs:
Slate features some of the coolest DJs on the NYC music scene to set the mood while you crush your coworker in Ping-Pong.

NYC street food with a twist
Celebrity chef Darryl Harmon has taken the reins in the Slate kitchen for inventive versions of NYC street food, like Mac n’ Cheese spring rolls dipped into a bowl of tomato soup, and much more.

A surprise on the hour:
Every hour from 4 to 9pm, guests are treated to a surprise that changes every week. We’re not allowed to share what it is, but you’re definitely going to want to see it for yourself.
