Film lovers in Crown Heights have a brand-new option for a night at the movies, and it will only set them back $8.

Video Revival, an intimate, 25-seat theater, opened its doors to the public this week at 346 Rogers St. The volunteer-operated theater is soft launching this month with a lineup of obscure films and cult classics.

“We saw this as a great opportunity to further contribute to the arts in Brooklyn,” says the theater’s co-founder Christian Hendricks. “In the upcoming months, we’re planning a short documentary showcases, a video art night and a queer film event.”

The venue is currently in the process of applying for a liquor license and is planning on serving beer and wine at special events. You can find a full schedule of the cinema’s screenings on its website
