Now that you know you can download over 300,000 books from the New York Public Library for free, here’s another super useful resource that you only need a library card for.

All NYPL members have free access to Lynda, an online education site that includes over 3,000 courses (and over 130,000 videos) in tons of fields. From the comfort of your own home, you can learn about web design, digital illustration, filmmaking, photography, music theory, screenwriting and even specific software like After Effects.

The site offers specific “learning paths” that can help you achieve goals like “become a graphic designer” as well as tons of stand-alone courses. In order to access the site, just go through the NYPL’s Lynda.com login page. Happy learning!
