MoMA PS1 Celebrates Kraftwerk: DJ Harvey

As part of the ongoing Kraftwerk mania, MoMA PS1's courtyard hosts two-day minifest featuring two veteran DJs connected with the band. Juan Atkins is one of Detroit techno's founding fathers; his fellow techno patriarch, Derrick May, once described Atkins's sound as "like George Clinton and Kraftwerk are stuck in an elevator with only a sequencer to keep them company." François K's association with the combo is a bit more intimate: He mixed (and remixed) a number of Kraftwerk tunes, including "Tour de France" and "Radioactivity."
