Soul Clap and Dance-Off Seventh-Anniversary Party

New York Night Train’s Mr. Jonathan Toubin spins a selection of first-rate funk and soul—largely exquisite obscurities from the mid-’60s—and hosts a 1am dance contest, awarding wads of do-re-mi to the winners. For tonight's birthday bash, Toubin is joined in the booth by an iconic pair of music makers, Jon Spencer and his partner in Boss Hog (as well as in life), Cristina Martinez.
