This recent Hammer feature tackles the story of two sapphic half sisters who flee occupied France during WWII, are almost executed and then become celebrated Surrealist artists. All we can say is this: Our lives suddenly seem very, very mundane. Also on the bill is Hammer's 10-minute short "Jane Brakhage" (1975).
