The Elusive Corporal

You’d have thought the French director had gotten the POW-drama bug out of his system after Grand Illusion, but apparently, non: Renoir returned to the subject in his second-to-last movie, in which Jean-Pierre Cassel plays an officer attempting to bust out of a German-run joint in WWII.
