Time Out says

If you haven't yet checked out New-York Historical Society's “Beer Here: Brewing New York’s History” exhibit, this affiliated event will get you up to speed on Gotham's boozy past. Edible editor Gabrielle Langholtz moderates a discussion between the exhibit's curators and Brooklyn Brewery bigwigs Garrett Oliver (brewmaster) and Steve Hindy (cofounder). They'll trace American and New York brewing history, touching on the decline of NYC's old breweries (the last of them shuttered in1976) and the rise of craft and independent establishments. The talk costs $24, but spring for the $49 ticket if you want to take part in a postgab beer tasting of four varieties, including Brooklyn Sorachi Ace and Local 2.
