James Beard Foundation Pop-Up Restaurant

You know the pop-up craze has made its mark when the James Beard Foundation hops on board. Beginning this week, the foodie organization will bring its signature high-profile dinners to a one-month pop-up space—called JBF LTD—in Chelsea Market. Each week a different boldfaced-name chef (three-Michelin-starred Laurent Gras or Momofuku's David Chang, for instance) will be in residence, cooking up a four-course prix-fixe dinner for $75 Tuesday through Thursday, and $100 on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant won't sit idle by day, turning into a café and programming space that will host talks, readings, culinary demonstrations and tastings.
