A Place to Bury Strangers plays the type of aggro electro-goth rock that we immediately associate with those black-clad misfits in ’80s teen movies. On its latest, Exploding Heads, the band takes a bit of a softer approach to its usual dense distortion. Also on the bill are the exuberantly rollicking Japandroids, who play uptempo hook-driven garage rock akin to No Age.
