This robust foursome launches a three-concert series called "Fragments," which focuses on the connections between past masters and contemporary composers. Tonight the Brentanos perform the New York premieres of Bruce Adolphe and Sofia Gubaidulina pieces, which use fragments by Schubert and Bach as a point of departure. Another NY premiere, Charles Wuorinen's Marian Tropes and Debussy's String Quartet in G minor complete the program.
