Juilliard's fine student players wrap up their winter breaks with a series of free chamber recitals in the school's intimate Paul Hall. Jan 15 brings works by Schnittke and Schoenberg. The Jan 16 concert features a Brahms piano trio and an octet for strings by Mendelssohn. The afternoon concert on Jan 17 pairs Beethoven with Brahms. And the closing bash, later that evening, puts a Brahms piece in the mix with items by Bartok and Reich. Free tickets are available in advance, through events.juilliard.edu.
