Charlie Haden Quartet West

Bassist Charlie Haden always maintains a firm foundation in song, but his own Quartet West has long elicited his most generous melodicism. Celebrating the combo's 25th anniversary and a new album, Sophisticated Ladies, Haden is joined on the bandstand by pianist Alan Broadbent and saxophonist Ernie Watts—both Quartet West cofounders—and drummer Rodney Green.
