Corinne West and Kelly Joe Phelps

Cali singer-songwriter Corinne West shares a bill with esteemed, rootsy songman Kelly Joe Phelps—with whom she released the Magnetic Skyline EP last year. What Phelps does best is casually stir a number of complementary roots styles—country, folk, blues and the odd Tejano touch—without drawing attention to the mix itself, letting his softly gruff voice and songs take the lead.
