With records out on both Sub Pop and Amphetamine Reptile, plus an influence that spread to many of the early grunge kings, Cosmic Psychos are ripe for discovery. And lo, here the Melbourne scuzz-rock veterans are, playing their first U.S. gigs in ages—coinciding with Goner Records reissues of the band's first three LPs and a new Psychos documentary, Blokes You Can Trust—in the form of a two-night Cake Shop stand. You won't find a more gloriously cretinous rock & roll happening going down this week, or maybe this year. Pampers and Call of the Wild open Sept 20, while M.O.T.O. and Degreaser set the stage Sept 21.
