Crystal Stilts + The Beets

By all recorded evidence, Crystal Stilts' singer, Brad Hargett, is a man half asleep, partially sedated and thoroughly depressed. Life bores him—even the tremendous drone that blankets his singing at every turn. The Brooklyn band's work touches on the Jesus and Mary Chain, Joy Division and, naturally, the Velvet Underground. Also on the bill is local noise-pop outfit the Beets.
