Empire State Sinfonia

Joseph Jones's orchestra grew out of ad hoc concerts by young professional musicians to support victims of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. It now launches into a second season featuring four concerts in as many weeks this spring. Up first is a program called Identity Crisis, featuring John Corigliano's Elegy, Prokofiev's Symphony No. 1 ("Classical") and Schubert's Symphony No. 8.
