Popular baritone Rodion Pogossov returns to the role of Figaro, performing with rising Mexican tenor Javier Camarena as the count on Oct 22 n this revival of Bartlett Sher's whimsical production of the Rossini rom-com.. Peter Mattei takes over Figaro again (after checking out briefly to replace an ailing Mariusz Kwiecen in the Met's new production of Don Giovanni) and Alexey Kudrya makes his Met debut as the count on Oct 26 and 29. The alluring mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard continues to shine as Rosina, and Maurizio Benini conducts.
