Johannes String Quartet

When they're not performing with the Philadelphia Orchestra or Los Angeles Philharmonic, or kicking butt in competitions, these four phenomenal players are making a name for themselves as the next major standard-rep string quartet. Tonight they're joined by Guarneri second violinist John Dalley and cellist Peter Wiley, both of whom served as mentors for the group at the Marlboro Music Festival, for Dvorak's String Sextet in A major. String quartets by Mozart and Respighi round out this value-priced program.
