Marco Benevento Trio + Xylos

A product of the laid-back jam scene, keyboardist Marco Benevento—of Benevento/Russo Duo fame—doesn’t concern himself with genre purism. His instrumentals are intricate enough to satisfy jazz eggheads but also suitably affable to serve as poppy mood music. Here, Benevento and his band play behind the new full-length, Between the Needles and Nightfall. Also on the bill are lush, bittersweet indie-pop locals Xylos.
