Music by Luigi Nono Festival

This three-day festival dedicated to the music of the revolutionary Italian composer Luigi Nono produced by the Electronic Music Foundation kicks off with a performance and lecture by pianist Stefan Litwin Sun 26. The free Mon 27 concert offers an overview of some of Nono's seminal chamber works, with vocalist Stacey Mastrian, Litwin and the NYU Percussion Ensemble, among others. For the final performance on Tue 28, violinist Conrad Harris and a crew of electronic specialists take on La lontananza nostalgica utopica futura—Madrigal per più "caminantes" con Gidon Kremer, a musical epic "for walking violinist and eight places of sound."
