Rhett Miller + Zee Avi

Rhett Miller's Old 97's were never going to get Wilco-level attention for their spot-on alt-country, but the act remains one of the best bar bands in the land; Miller is currently touring his fourth, self-titled, solo album, a sweetly rootsy affair. He's joined by Zee Avi, a former YouTube aspirant whose fledgling efforts led to 800,000 plays and a deal with Jack Johnson’s Brushfire label. Avi's self-titled debut CD shows off her gentle demeanor and skillful songcraft, not to mention a cabaretesque swagger.
