The Charles Hamilton Experience

Harlem MC Charles Hamilton began 2009 as hip-hop's hottest property, with an Interscope record deal and a hit single, "Brooklyn Girls," and as good as lost it all by the year's end after a series of unfortunate events (a misunderstood tribute to J Dilla, a right-hook from his then-girlfriend, a shelved album). After three years out of the scene (though still releasing mixtapes prolifically), Hamilton is finally back to play one night at S.O.B.'s, wherein he'll showcase his skills as an MC and producer, and also demonstrate his considerable prowess on the piano. Color us wildly excited.
