Ty Citerman, guitarist of irreverent local prog-jazz mainstay Gutbucket, heads up his own band in celebration of Bop Kabbalah, a new Tzadik effort that shows off his rock- and avant-jazz-tinged take on Jewish melodies. As on the disc, the band features Gutbucket members Ken Thomson and Adam D. Gold on bass clarinet and drums, respectively, as well as trumpeter Ben Holmes.
