Forget about rummaging through flea markets and stoop sales for antique treasures and instead head to this Greenpoint waterfront boutique, where you’re guaranteed to find a finely crafted inventory of industrial- and machine-age pieces with a mix of contemporary and modern housewares. Maya Marzolf, a former fashion photography producer, combined her love for antiques, salvaged materials and green design to open Le Grenier, which means “the attic,” in French. Marzolf aims to foster the work of local artists—she stocks prints by Carla Venticinque-Osborn and murals by Weston Wooley—and also intends to make her large adjacent garden available for community events including poetry readings and wine tastings.
