Phaeton purchased this leather orange-and-black varsity jacket at Metropolis, which she models with a pair of drop-crotch khakis and a men's button-up shirt. "I love shopping for men's clothes," she says. "Comfort is key."

Phateon's statement ring is from Topshop. She rarely gets her nails done, but she was hoping for something different this time around—hence the blue glitter.

Phaeton kicks around in a pair of cutout black platform heels, also from Topshop. "I fell in love with them the first time I saw them," she says.

"This look shows off the wild side of me," says Phaeton. She found the fur coat at Uniqlo, the jean cutoffs at Urban Outfitters and the belly shirt at American Apparel.

These rings are part of Phaeton's jewelry line, Eat My Gold (eatmygold.blogspot.com). "I love wearing enough rings to cover all my fingers," she says. The toy London double-decker bus was given to Phaeton by a school chum.

Danielle Phaeton, 19; designer, stylist, Uniqlo employee, model, editor (21-7magazine.com); East New York, Brooklyn

Her personal style: "It comes from my personality, which is free-spirited and loving. When I put together my outfits each day, it's always reflective of how I feel or my mood."

Her inspiration: "I'm very much inspired by the past—particularly vintage, items with value and worth. I favor the style because I feel as though I don't belong in this time, and the memory of the past gives me so much comfort."

Favorite stores: "Buffalo Exchange (locations throughout the city; visit buffaloexchange.com) is modern thrifting, and you can always find something there that's of interest. As soon as you walk in the door at Metropolis (43 Third Ave between 9th and 10th Sts; 212-358-0795, metropolisvintage.wordpress.com), you feel like you're transported to the '80s—the vibes are good and the clothing is amazing. I love the spandex, colors and elastics at American Apparel (locations throughout the city; visit americanapparel.com), and Topshop (478 Broadway between Broome and Grand Sts; 212-966-9555, us.topshop.com) is just a god to all shopaholics."

Her signature accessory: "It would have to be my foxtail. I carry it with me everywhere I go."

Favorite designers: "CoCo & Breezy (cocoandbreezy.com) for eyewear. They're edgy, they didn't give up on their dreams, and they push hard. I love that."

How her style has evolved through the years: "It started off simple, but as I got older, I started to find myself and experiment with clothing. I want my looks to give people something to talk about."
