“I’m going to New York Comic Con (newyorkcomiccon.com; Thu 10–Sun 13) at the Jacob Javits center. It’s my first time; I haven’t decided whether to go in costume or not. I’m going with my cousin, and she’s very into The Lord of the Rings, so if we go as a group and dress up, it will be very Lord of the Rings–esque.”
Photograph: Melissa Sinclair “I like coming to 5 Pointz Aerosol Art Center (45-46 Davis St at Jackson Ave, Long Island City, Queens; 5ptz.com) because you meet people from all over the place. I’ve painted a few times here. I still use my graffiti name, Dusk—it’s written on the other side of the building from the loading dock.”
Photograph: Dominic Andolina “I recently went to a bar called Lulu’s (113 Franklin St at Greenpoint Ave, Greenpoint, Brooklyn; 718-383-6000). They give you a free personal pizza when you buy a beer. And they have Pac-Man and Galaxy and a hunting arcade machine that’s pretty cool.”

My favorite part is that place where it has windows and you can see into the street. You’re pretty much right above the highway and all the cars are driving under you; it’s cool.”
